Hey George,
What your opinion? 31 crank turned down to accept a 28" gear or run the 28" crank. The 31 journal is bigger, but is it stronger/better? We,ve spoke on the phone about this engine before. It's been bored, now I have to make a decision, so I can order a rod. Your help is always appreciated.

Use the old non avs 31 crank then the 28 gear will fit BUT you will need to make a bushing to press into the pan of the avs block to use the crank.
